Private beta

Bring your material. Keep your voice.

Comic Setlist helps comedians capture recordings, preserve transcripts, organize original material, and build reviewable sets. Beta access is approved individually while privacy and operations are hardened.

Comedy material

Your comedy stays yours

Ownership and publishing

You keep ownership of your recordings, transcripts, jokes, and other material. Uploading does not transfer your copyright or give Comic Setlist the right to publish, perform, sell, sublicense as content, or publicly distribute your comedy.

Permission to operate

You give Comic Setlist only the limited permission needed to store, copy, process, transcribe, organize, analyze, show back to you, and create private exports of your material as part of the service. We do not use it to write jokes for other people, build a public comedy library, or train a general joke-writing model.

Cut-placement learning

The beta does not currently use your comedy to train a model. If we later ask to use selected material to improve where a joke or bit should be cut, we will ask you to opt in separately. That permission will be limited to learning timing and logical boundaries—not reusing your wording, generating jokes, publishing material, or training for another purpose.

No sale or independent use

We do not sell your comedy material or disclose it for advertising, marketing, or anyone else's independent use. We send only what is needed to service providers that operate the private product: DigitalOcean hosts infrastructure and storage, and OpenAI processes material for transcription and AI features. We may also disclose data when legally required.

Transactional email services receive your account email and delivery metadata, not your comedy archive. Comic Setlist currently creates clips locally and does not send your material to a third-party clipping service.

What happens to your email

Purpose

We use it only to deduplicate, review, deliver, and administer Comic Setlist beta access. It is not sold or added to a marketing list.

Storage and access

The request email is encrypted at rest. Only authorized beta reviewers can reveal it. Application logs and production diagnostics must not contain it. If approved, the address becomes the login identifier on your protected account.

Retention

Pending requests are retained up to 180 days, rejected requests 90 days, unaccepted approvals 30 days, and the request record 30 days after acceptance.

Control

The withdrawal form generically removes a pre-acceptance request and safe invitation-only account. After activation, sign in and contact Support for a verified account-data copy or deletion request. Before activation, you may also reply to the staff member who delivered an invitation.

Submitting a request does not create an account or guarantee access. A staff member—not an AI system—must explicitly approve it.
